This Privacy Policy explains how grainmail.ai, operated by Jpauls LLC (Michigan, USA), handles information when you use the service.

1. Email Handling and Processing

grainmail.ai forwards and processes email in order to route it to your selected destination mailbox. Emails are processed temporarily for delivery purposes.

2. AI Processing

Email message contents may be transmitted to the OpenAI API in order to apply user-defined processing rules such as summarization, filtering, formatting, classification, or routing.

OpenAI does not use API-submitted data to train or improve models according to OpenAI’s API Data Usage Policy. For reference, see: https://openai.com/policies/api-data

No data is publicly shared or sold.

3. Account Data

We may store forwarding configuration and minimal account information needed for the service to function. We do not sell personal information.

4. Third-Party OAuth Permissions

When you connect your Google or Microsoft account, we request the following permissions to enable platform features:

• Google:
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file – Allows the platform and AI features to read and write files in your Google Drive for general usability. We do not store or sell this information.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send – Allows the platform to send emails on your behalf, including forwarding messages to you and sending emails requested by AI or for general usability. We do not store or sell this information.
• Microsoft:
  • https://graph.microsoft.com/Files.ReadWrite.All – Allows the platform and AI features to read and write files in your OneDrive for general usability. We do not store or sell this information.
  • https://graph.microsoft.com/offline_access – Allows the platform to maintain access as required for usability. We do not store or sell this information.
  • https://graph.microsoft.com/User.Read – Allows the platform to read basic user profile information. We do not store or sell this information.
  • https://graph.microsoft.com/Mail.Send – Allows the platform to send emails on your behalf, including forwarding messages to you and sending emails requested by AI or for general usability. We do not store or sell this information.

These permissions are strictly used to provide the core functionality of the platform, including AI-driven features. We do not store the contents of your files or emails beyond what is necessary for immediate processing, and we never sell your information.

5. Security

Data sent between systems is encrypted in transit. Internal system access is restricted. We minimize long-term storage where possible.

6. Data Retention

Email contents are not stored indefinitely. Data may be temporarily retained in system logs, queues, or caches as necessary for routing and abuse prevention.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your routing configuration or account at any time.
